Blue Jays Rumors: George Springer Injury Update is Great News for Toronto

One of the marquee signings of the MLB offseason for the Toronto Blue Jays was outfielder George Springer. However, he has yet to make his regular season debut with the team after he suffering two different injuries during spring training. Things seem to be heading in the right direction, though.
Good news on the George Springer front. #Bluejays planniing for him to play a full game in centre field at the team's alt site this afternoon. Return to the big club really starting to look imminent now.

Goerge Springer Injury Update
Springer first went down with an oblique strain and then was sidelined with a quad strain as well. Fortunately, he finally seems to be getting healthy and that is a good sign for the Blue Jays.
It looks like Springer could be returning to the team sooner rather than later. He is beginning to play full games at the team's alternate site as he continues to work his way back onto the field. The 3-time All-Star is set to be the team's starting center fielder.
Springer has excelled at the plate over the last few seasons and would be a welcome addition to what is an already strong Toronto lineup. He has posted an on-base percentage of at least .346 in each of his last six MLB seasons. Plus, Springer racked up 39 home runs and 96 RBI in his last full season played (2019).
The Blue Jays (9-11) are currently fighting to keep pace with the Boston Red Sox (13-9) in the American League East division. Adding Springer to the mix would definitely improve their chances at making the playoffs for the second season in a row.
FanDuel Sportsbook has the Jays ranked third in the AL East with +550 odds to win the division.
