Coming off of an AFC Championship game appearance and with their core already locked down, the Buffalo Bills had only a few holes to address this offseason. By adding tight end Jacob Hollister and wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders, Buffalo helped improve its prolific offense.
Continuing the theme, the Bills nabbed some useful running back depth with their latest signing.
Matt Breida Bills
Buffalo has agreed to deal with former Miami Dolphins free agent Matt Breida, plucking the 26-year-old from a division rival.
Breida rushed for 254 yards while adding 96 receiving yards last season for the Dolphins. He offers another weapon for Josh Allen, averaging 22.3 receptions over his first three years.
With Zack Moss and Devin Singletary unable to establish themselves as the true RB1, it's smart for Buffalo to add least add one more back they can turn to if needed.
While the Bills' passing game is the priority, having the mere threat of a run game has helped their offense take the next level, and adding Breida to the mix (career 4.9 yards per rushing attempt) certainly can't hurt.
