There's no denying that the Buffalo Bills have one of the most passionate fan bases in the NFL. It's a passion that goes far beyond the football field, too. Bills Mafia is stepping up in support of tight end Dawson Knox by donating to a charity close to his family after his brother, Luke, passed away.

Buffalo Bills News

Ever since the news broke on Wednesday night that Luke Knox had died, the P.U.N.T. Pediatric Cancer Collaborative has been flooded with contributions. Fans have even been sharing screenshots on Twitter of their $16.88 donations, which signifies the jersey numbers of Luke (16) and Dawson (88).

Knox has worked with P.U.N.T. since his rookie season in 2019. His popular "Knox Sox" initiative provides funds for pediatric cancer patients to get custom non-slip socks. Meanwhile, his "Dawson's Locker" initiative allows families fighting pediatric cancer to get the little things they need every day.

According to a P.U.N.T. spokesperson, the over 5,000 donations have been made as of Friday morning and the total has reached over $95,000. In fact, the website crashed on Thursday evening due to a PayPal issue. As many as 15 donations a minute were pouring in, but thankfully the issue was fixed.

This isn't the first time Bills Mafia has gone above and beyond to support the players that bring them so much joy every Sunday. When quarterback Josh Allen's grandmother passed away, fans donated money to the Patricia Allen Fund at the Oshei Children's Hospital in Buffalo, New York.

Anyone looking to support the Knox family can head over to the P.U.N.T donation page.
