Bills Fans React to Leslie Frazier's Shocking Decision for 2023
The Buffalo Bills are obviously one of the best teams in football, and fans feel pretty strongly about the obvious area that has held them back from Super Bowl contention: a leaky defense.
A lot of the struggles from such a talent-rich defense get attributed to defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier, who has suddenly announced that he's taking a year off from coaching.
Could this be a case of addition by subtraction? Most Bills fans seem to think so. Replies to the Bills' official tweet quickly filled up with celebrations like "SUPER BOWL IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS," plenty of "WOO" and long strings of exclamation marks.
Of course, it's not unanimous celebration. "Is the grass always greener? We're about to find out" sums up the wide range of potential outcomes that the Bills defense could face. Losing continuity could certainly hurt in the short term.
The other concern, of course, is for Frazier's health and personal life. This decision comes out of nowhere, and planning a single year off is an unusual move for such a high-profile coach. First and foremost, we're hoping that everything is okay with Frazier's health and family.
Following the news, FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds have the Bills at +850 to win the Super Bowl next season, which puts them second to only the Kansas City Chiefs (+600).
