The NFL is officially back as the regular season kicks off on Thursday. The opening game will pit the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers against the Dallas Cowboys.

Here's three of the best prop bets for this Thursday Night Football clash in Tampa Bay.

Cowboys vs Buccaneers Prop Bets Tonight

1. Tom Brady - Passing Yards: Over 300.5 (-110)

Tom Brady started slow last season as he adjusted to his new team, going over 300.5 yards just twice across the first nine games. But then he caught fire, going over in five of his last eight regular-season contests. The team's early struggles paid off with clear chemistry down the stretch, and now all of Brady's favorite weapons are back for another year together. That sets him up to feast right out of the gate against the lowly Cowboys secondary. Dallas ranked No. 21 in Football Outsiders' passing defense DVOA metric in 2020, and they enter the season as Pro Football Focus' 31st-ranked secondary. Brady and the Bucs should light it up on Thursday night through the air.

2. Ezekiel Elliott - Rushing Yards: Under 54.5 (-110)

On the flip side, Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott is in position to struggle. Chief among his concerns is the absence of guard Zack Martin on Thursday. Martin earned an elite 92.2 run-blocking grade from PFF last season, and his absence will have a huge impact on the performance of the offensive line against Tampa Bay. Elliott will now face the defense that ranked No. 1 in Football Outsiders' rush defense DVOA metric without one of his best blockers. To put that in perspective, Elliott managed just 45 and 32 yards, respectively, in two games against Washington last year (No. 11 in rush defense DVOA). With the Cowboys expected to trail in this one, they could also be forced to lean more heavily on the passing game than they'd like, putting Zeke in a prime spot to hit the under here.

3. CeeDee Lamb - Receiving Yards: Over 61.5 (-110)

The Cowboys being 8.5-point underdogs in the season opener suggests that they will struggle to keep up against a high-powered Bucs offense. That means the passing game may be relied upon heavily, setting up CeeDee Lamb for a huge night and plenty of volume. One massive factor that will impact Lamb's receiving yards total on Thursday is the return of Dak Prescott. Lamb hit this over three times in the first four games with Prescott healthy last year. With Prescott back, and the Cowboys needing to match an elite offense, Lamb will be a huge part of any potential upset bid.
