With the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, the Cincinnati Bengals drafted their quarterback of the future in Joe Burrow. The 2019 Heisman winner brings confidence and a winning mentality to a locker room that has struggled to put tallies in the win column lately.

While expectations are low for a team that totaled just two wins last year, the odds point to the Bengals being much more competitive in 2020, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

The Bengals win total is set at 5.5, with the over at -130 and the under available at +110. That suggests the over is the more likely outcome. An increase of four wins in a season would certainly be impressive, especially in the AFC North. A 6-10 season is also nothing to scoff at, hinting they could be competitive week in and week out.

When looking at this offensive group for Cincinnati, it's easy to see why the oddsmakers are optimistic. Burrow will be working with a loaded skill-position group that features A.J. Green, Tyler Boyd, Tee Higgins, Auden Tate and John Ross.

Joe Mixon has also proven to be one of the top backs in football, and he's a pass-catching threat as well.

Even if the Bengals look poised for a much-better campaign than last season, Cincinnati could struggle to qualify for the playoffs. The Bengals are only listed at +680 to make the postseason, and -1200 to finish on the outside looking in.

Still, with Burrow leading a talented offensive group, Cincinnati is clearly trending in the right direction.
