Bears Get Great David Montgomery Injury Update Ahead of Week 14

The Chicago Bears were the recipients of great news on Friday when it was announced that leading rusher David Montgomery had been removed from the injury report.
The 24-year-old was dealing with shoulder, groin and glute issues throughout the week that limited his practice participation. Now that it looks like those injuries are a thing of the past, Montgomery has been given the green light to suit up against the Green Bay Packers this weekend.
This is as healthy as the #Bears have been: RB David Montgomery and WR Allen Robinson both have no injury status and will play. https://t.co/Hjey84seav

David Montgomery Injury Update
Montgomery saw a whopping 29 touches (21 carries and 8 receptions) in Week 13, so it's not too much of a surprise that he's banged up.
In fact, injuries throughout the 2021 NFL season have held Montgomery to just eight games played. Still, he's done a lot with that opportunity, averaging 4.2 yards on 134 carries while also finding the end zone four times.
With a 4-8 record, there isn't a whole lot for Bears fans to look forward to aside from the 2022 NFL Draft. At least a healthy Montgomery can give them something to cheer about down the stretch.
The Bears are currently 12-point underdogs heading into the Week 14 Sunday Night Football matchup, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
