As is always the case, golf fans around the world will pay close attention to the upcoming weather forecast. Weather always has the potential to play a factor in this major tournament, from finishing positions to even delays on the course.

Fortunately, the weather is shaping up to be promising this week. With temperatures ranging from the low 60s to the low 70s for all four days, there's only a small chance of precipitation on Thursday and Friday. By Sunday, we are looking at a nice and sunny 70-degree day to close out the tournament.

The week didn't get off to a great start, however. Golfers dealt with thunderstorms on Monday and Tuesday, leading to a cancellation of Tuesday's practice session.

There was even a tornado watch issued on Tuesday afternoon.

This means greens could still be wet on Thursday, especially for golfers with early tee times. This effect should fade as clear skies shine over the length of the tournament, however.

Sunday's final round is looking like the best day of golf action. Temperatures will hit the upper 60s and we see just a 2% chance of precipitation. The wind should also be calmest that day, showing WNW gusts of no more than seven miles per hour.

The weather seemingly always changes and golf fans will want to keep their eye out for any changes throughout the week. For now, it should be a clean week of golf and it's time to sit back, relax, and root for your top sleeper or favorite to take home the green jacket.
