Monday Night Football delivered a tense, hard-fought affair between the Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders during Week 5. While the Chiefs ultimately prevailed, 30-29, there was a moment where head coach Andy Reid got especially heated.

When asked about his emotional outburst after the game, Reid gave reporters a humorous answer.

The play that triggered Reid was yet another controversial roughing the passer call that occurred during the second quarter. With Kansas City trailing at the time, defensive tackle Chris Jones came up big for the Chiefs by strip-sacking Raiders quarterback Derek Carr. The potentially galvanizing play was immediately nullified, however, as referee Carl Cheffers flagged Jones for roughing the passer.

While Cheffers later provided a flimsy explanation for the call, it incited the Kansas City home crowd as well as its head coach. Reid was absolutely furious at the call, and rightly so. Given the Chiefs' deficit in a division rivalry matchup, it had the potential to be a game-altering mistake.

When prodded about his reaction after the game, Reid wisely deflected, joking that the reporters were "trying to get him fined." Thankfully for Reid (and his bank account), he successfully avoided any penalties.

Kansas City has another tough home matchup on tap in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills. With the Bills favored by 2.5 points on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds, this is expected to be another tight, high-scoring game, so don't be surprised if Reid has a similar blowup next weekend.
