After what felt like an endless lockout, Opening Day for the 2022 MLB season is only a few weeks away.

The league's 30 teams will once again compete for a chance to win this year's World Series. Even though we're still about seven months away from crowning this season's champion, it's never too early to look at which team will represent the American League in October.

Fortunately, betting odds help paint a better picture as to how the AL race could unfold. FanDuel Sportsbook is currently favoring the Chicago White Sox to win the American League Championship at +460 odds.

White Sox fans are dying for their club to make a deep playoff run after the team hasn't made it to the ALCS since their 2005 World Series run. Chicago lost to the Houston Astros in the Division Series last season, so building off that performance is a must in 2022.

The Astros aren't too far behind the White Sox at +470 odds, while the Toronto Blue Jays are a close third at +480. Meanwhile, the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays are tied for fourth at +600 odds apiece.

Here's a look at how the full American Lague Championship odds are shaping up.
