Hitting a home run in an MLB game is probably the thrill of a lifetime. Hitting three in one game? That's something very few major leaguers can say they have done. Hitting four in one game? That's the stuff of legend.

On Tuesday night, the Giants Alex Dickerson pulled off the insane three home run game and came very close to grabbing that legendary fourth home run. It was simply bad luck that prevented it from happening.

Dickerson smacked a 414-ft double in the ninth, which would have been a home run in every ballpark in the major leagues, besides Coors field. He was playing at Coors Field.

While he was obviously thrilled to be able to join the club of hitting three home runs in a game, to come that close to joining the club of four home runs, and to basically lose it on the bad luck of where you're playing, has to make it rougher.

The flip side is maybe the utopia for hitters that is Coors Field helped him to get to three home runs in the first place. Regardless, a heck of a game by Dickerson that he'll remember forever.
