Alabama Primed to Surpass Michigan in Major All-Time NFL Draft Record in 2020
By Zach Brunner

Alabama fans had a disappointing end to the regular season, with the Crimson Tide missing the College Football Playoff for the first time in its history.
However, Alabama football still has a chance to move up in the record books in next April's 2020 NFL Draft, as the program is likely to pass Michigan for the most NFL Draft picks by school, which would move them into the top-5 all-time spots.

As each program stands in 2019, Alabama has produced 355 total NFL Draft picks, while Michigan has sent 359 prospects to the NFL through the draft. There may not be a better school at recruiting talent, which is why the Crimson Tide have remained a CFP contender for as long as they have under Saban.
In the first round alone, many analysts are projecting Alabama to produce as many as six players in the 2020 NFL Draft. Some of these top prospects include Jerry Jeudy, Tua Tagovailoa, Henry Ruggs III, Jedrick Wills Jr., Dylan Moses, Alex Leatherwood, among others.

In the top-100 draft rankings alone, according to CBS Sports, Alabama has 10 prospects in the top 50 and 11 prospects overall, while Michigan has just one in No. 86 Nico Collins.
This would be yet another impressive feat for Alabama, though the Tide still have a long way to go if they want to catch USC at the top of this list, as the Trojans have seen 510 players drafted to the NFL in their storied program history.
Michigan and Alabama are also set to face another in the 2020 VRBO Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1, 2020, which could be a rude welcoming to the new year for the Wolverines, as the Crimson Tide are currently 7-point favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
