Alabama Loses In-State 5-Star Recruit

Nick Saban is known for his master recruiting abilities. Year in and year out he brings one of the nation's top recruiting classes to the University of Alabama. However, he doesn't always get what he wants 100% of the time.
After committing to join the Tide back in March, the No. 1 ranked defensive end for the class of 2022, Jeremiah Alexander, has officially de-committed. Alexander announced the news on Tuesday via his Twitter.

Alexander had also received scholarship offers from Auburn, Florida, Georgia and Florida State.
Alexander's reasoning and timing are odd, and it is unclear what sparked this move from him. It is also unknown whether how much he is now considering those other schools.
One thing that is known is that a handful of SEC schools are once again competing to bring in one fo the nation's best high school football players.
