Los Angeles Angels superstar Mike Trout remains the strong favorite to win American League MVP as the opening month of the season comes to a close. Trout is a prohibitive favorite of+200 in AL MVP odds at FanDuel Sportsbook.

He's followed by Angles teammate Shohei Ohtani (+1000), whose odds have risen as he's made a serious leap into the MVP conversation.

The other big mover is Minnesota Twins outfield Byron Buxton. He started the season as a huge longshot and is now +1600.

Trout is hitting .393 with 6 home runs. The Angels slugger leads the majors in on base percentage (.521) and OPS (1.325), and tops the AL in slugging percentage (.804). Trout won the AL MVP award in 2019 and 2016, and finished top five in voting in 2017, 2018 and 2020.
