Adam Thielen has missed the last three games due to a hamstring injury. A recent injury update surrounding Thielen clouds his status once again for the Minnesota Vikings' Week 14 matchup against the Detroit Lions.

Once viewed as a minor hamstring issue, this injury has lingered for Thielen. Initially he missed just one game, but he suffered a setback in his return versus Kansas City, making it through just seven snaps in that one.

The receiver has missed three games since then, being announced as a surprise inactive in Week 13 and now failing to return to the practice field in Week 14.

Another missed game would be his fourth in a row and fifth of the season. Clearly, the Vikings are making sure Thielen is at full health and that he will not suffer any setbacks before returning to game action, especially with a high-stakes matchup with the Green Bay Packers on the horizon in Week 16.

The Vikings' playoff odds remain strong, despite the absence of one of their top players on offense. His return to full health would make this Minnesota team that much tougher to beat down the stretch, with another legitimate receiving option opposite of Stefon Diggs.

With the arrival of the fantasy football playoffs, owners have little choice but to sit tight with Thielen on their bench, hoping that he'll return in time to crack their starting lineup again before the season comes to an end.
