The Green Bay Packers facing off with the Los Angeles Rams is not the most exciting matchup of the Divisional Round. That honor would probably go to the Baltimore Ravens-Buffalo Bills game, or the matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New Orleans Saints.
But on an individual level, the duel between Davante Adams and Jalen Ramsey, who might be the two best players in the league at their respective positions, is another story. It's hard not to get excited about the matchup between a corner allowing just 23.6 receiving yards per game in coverage and a WR averaging 98.1 yards per contest.
However, some recent comments from Aaron Rodgers suggest fans might not be seeing that matchup as much as they're expecting to.
With the way Brandon Staley schemes up the Rams' defense, Ramsey is unlikely to spend his day shadowing Adams. Staley doesn't have much incentive to change how he does things either, as Los Angeles has been the league's best scoring defense under his watch in 2020.
And with how much Green Bay likes to move Adams around (lining him up in the slot at a 22% rate), you have to think the Packers will make adjustments to avoid this matchup wherever possible.
Still, the moments we do get these two lined up one-on-one should be pretty thrilling.
