Aaron Jones Free Agent Landing Spot Predictions
By Larry Rupp

Aaron Jones has played a major role on an impressive Green Bay Packer's offense for the last four seasons, but enters free agency for the first time this offseason. He tied his career- high averaging 5.5 yards per carry last season in addition to 11 total touchdowns in 14 games played.
The 26-year-old ball carrier is one of the top free agents at his position and will be sought out by a number of different NFL teams in need of RB help. With that being said, here are three predictions on possible landing spots for Jones.
Aaron Jones Free Agency
1. New England Patriots
Jones is the type of free agent that could finally end Bill Belichick's strategy of not having a true workhorse in the backfield. He has the power to go downhill, but the shiftiness to cut outside as well. Plus, the Patriots love to have pass-catching running backs on their team and Jones has caught at least 47 passes in each of the last two seasons. With the third highest projected cap space number, the Patriots could outbid everyone to sign this playmaker.
2. Buffalo Bills
It's hard to imagine the Bills offense being any better than it was during the 2020 season, but that becomes a real possibility if they sign Jones. Bringing in Jones to join quarterback Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs would create a starting trio no NFL defense wants to face. The Bills enter next season hungry after losing to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship and adding Jones to the mix would just take their team to another level.
3. Miami Dolphins
The Dolphins should be mentioned with every big name offensive free agent and for good reason. They have the sixth-highest projected cap space number in the league and need to improve an offense that averaged 339.0 total yards per game last season (No. 23 in the NFL). Having a reliable running back in the backfield alongside quarterback Tua Tagovailoa would greatly increase his progression. Simply put, the Dolphins need to make impactful signings this offseason and Jones fits that role perfectly.
