5 Best Prop Bets for Texans vs Jets NFL Saturday Football Game

It's Week 15 of the NFL season and the college football regular season is over which means it's finally time for some Saturday NFL football. The first Saturday game of the year isn't exactly a barnburner as the 9-4 Houston Texans take on the 4-9 New York Jets. It's a home game for the Jets, but the Texans are still nearly a touchdown favorites. So if we're stuck with a game that's not going to be overwhelmingly entertaining, take it into your own hands with a few prop bets.

1. 1st Turnover Will Be Interception (-190)

Sam Darnold likes to sling the ball around and that can lead to a lot of interceptions. Darnold has 15 interceptions in just 10 games this season. Meanwhile the Texans defense is Top 10 in the NFL in interceptions. If there's going to be a turnover in this game it's probably going to be a Darnold pick.

2. Deshaun Watson UNDER 20.5 Fantasy Points (-110)

This will probably be a fairly low scoring game which certainly won't help Watson's fantasy output. Watson has only eclipsed 20.5 points six times all season and the Jets have only allowed that many points five times this season making it more likely than not Watson hits the under here.

3. 1st Quarter Total UNDER 7.5 (-132)

Both defenses are good and the Jets are banged up, not a lot of points are going to be scored in this game at all, but certainly not when both defenses are fresh. The Texans might get on the board early, but barring a Darnold pick-six, it should be low scoring heading into the second.

4. 1st Half Home Team (Jets) Total Field Goals OVER 1 (+148)

The Jets should be able to move the ball a little bit even if they can't get into the endzone, a couple of field goals shouldn't be too much of a challenge as Jason Myers will probably be very busy all day one way or another.

5. Houston Texans to Score First and Win (-104)

There's a chance that this is fulfilled by a pick six, but if not there's still plenty of other opportunities. This is the bet to make if you're really confident in the Texans to win, since they have the better offensive talent and will most likely be the first team to score.
