Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey has been incredible in his second NFL season, establishing himself as one of fantasy football's most productive players. The catalyst to his recent success is the insane amount of catches over the last few weeks, as players in PPR leagues can attest to.

McCaffrey has outmatched every other player in the NFL (regardless of position) since Week 6, leading the league with 53 receptions.

You read that right. A running back, not a wide receiver, is leading the league in receptions since the sixth week of the season.

That amount of volume is a huge reason why McCaffrey has averaged an incredible 24.4 FanDuel fantasy points per game over the past six weeks and it doesn't look like the production is going to slow down any time soon. Two of his next three games include favorable matchups against the Cleveland Browns and Atlanta Falcons, the latter of which is a perfect opponent for pass-catching running backs like McCaffrey.

If things keep trending in the right direction, McCaffrey might single-handedly carry owners to a fantasy football championship like Todd Gurley did last season.
