3 Kicking Replacements for Chandler Catanzaro

The Bucs have decided to stick with Ryan Fitzpatrick as quarterback, but Chandler Catanzaro wasn't so lucky. They cut Catanzaro after he missed four extra points on the season and went made 11 of 15 on field goal attempts. Now comes the search for his replacement.

Santos is probably the best option currently available on the market. A career 84 percent field goal kicker, Santos was solid earlier this year for the Rams while covering for Greg Zurlein. He did miss an extra point in one of those games though.

2. Kai Forbath

Forbath is another veteran kicker who hit 88 percent of his field goals over the past two seasons in Minnesota. He lost the training camp battle with Daniel Carlson and was released. Obviously the Vikings regret that decision a bit, but not enough to bring in Forbath.

3. Sam Ficken

Santos and Forbath are both veteran kickers and the Bucs know what they're going to get from them, Ficken would be taking a flyer on a young unproven kicker. He played a bit for the Rams in the preseason and earlier this season going 1 of 3 on his field goal attempts, but he was 10-of-10 on extra points. This is a pick up with a hope for improvement over just a known quality.
