The Eagles made a splash at the NFL trade deadline, picking up wide receiver Golden Tate in exchange for a third-round pick. That's the type of move that should elevate you to that next level, that Super Bowl contender level.

But the move didn't even make the 4-4 Eagles the favorites to win their own division, the NFC East. That title still goes to the 5-2 Washington Redskins, according to  FanDuel Sportsbook.

While the difference in odds between the Eagles (+160) and the Redskins (-105) isn't huge, there could be a big swing once we hit December. The two teams have yet to play this season, meaning we're in for two games between the top two teams in the NFC East. The first is Dec. 3 in Philadelphia and the second is to close out the season in Week 17 in Washington

Right now, the 5-2 Redskins have a 1.5 game lead on the 4-4 Eagles, who have their bye this week and could pick up (or lose) half a game on Washington. Obviously, those odds will shift based on that result.

The Cowboys (3-4) at +350 also shouldn't be overlooked. They're a quality team that also made a move at the deadline, acquiring Amari Cooper for a first-round pick.

And if you want some long odds, a $10 bet on the Giants (+18000) would pay out $1,800. You're likely throwing away that $10, but like, the New York Lottery slogan says, "Hey, you never know."

It wouldn't be surprising if the NFC East title comes down to that Week 17 matchup between the Eagles and Redskins, and if you like Philadelphia, now could be the best time for you to get a positive payout on a bet on the defending Super Bowl champs.
