Week 9 was a tough one for ranked teams all across the nation. 


While most of the teams near the top of the poll survived, teams outside the Top 10 suffered loss after loss. There were 11 ranked-team losses overall with every single team ranked No. 18-25, other than No. 23 Utah, losing. 


That many losses at the bottom of the Week 9 poll was sure to cause a shakeup across the Top 25 for Week 10 and it sure did. 

Houston, Utah State, and Fresno State are all finally in the Top 25 after great non-Power-Five conference seasons, while Mississippi State and Boston College are back in rankings after dropping out earlier in the year. Syracuse and UVA also enter the Top 25 as two of the better teams in a wild year for ACC talents. 


While Mississippi State and UVA don't have championship odds right now, you can get Boston College and Syracuse at +25000 and the three ranked Group-of-Five teams at +42000  odds to win the College Football Playoff after Week 9. It would be tough, but equally incredible for one of those teams to make the playoff, but if BC can beat Clemson next week? You never know. 


Either way, it was a fun week of college football that led to a ton of turnover in the rankings, hopefully, Week 10 can deliver more of the same.
