Contrary to popular belief, most hardcore Alabama college football fans consider their annual battle with the Tennessee Volunteers to be the Crimson Tide's most-heated rivalry game of the season -- not the Iron Bowl against the Auburn Tigers.
Keeping that in mind, here are three wagers every Alabama and Tennessee fan should make against one another before Saturday's game in Knoxville.
3. Box of Cigars

There's nothing more iconic in the Alabama-Tennessee rivalry than the Crimson Tide smoking their celebratory cigars in the locker room and sometimes on the field after beating the Volunteers (and they've been smoking a lot lately). What better way to get under a Tennessee fan's skin than wagering a box of cigars on the game?
2. Bottle of Tennessee Jack Daniel's Whiskey
It would be an understatement to say that Tennessee natives are commonly proud of their state's whiskey production and fame. So wagering a bottle on the result of the Crimson Tide-Volunteers game could be the best way of driving a Tennessee fan crazy. You certainly don't want to be shipping a free bottle of Tennessee's finest down to an Alabama rival.
1. Adopt a Bluetick Hound (Double down by naming him Smokey)

Smokey the Bluetick Hound may be the pampered Tennessee mascot, but I'm sure there are plenty more Smokey's out there that need homes. So if you're a Tennessee fan, why not make a wager that forces an Alabama friend of yours to adopt the canine-embodiment of Rocky Top Tennessee football?
