NFL Week 6 Power Rankings Have Patriots Back in the Top 5

Another week, another shakeup toward the top of our power rankings. With road losses by the Baltimore Ravens and the Jacksonville Jaguars, the two fall just outside the top five.

The Carolina Panthers and Chicago Bears, both sitting at 3-1, are also on the outside looking in, and we have a returnee along with a first-time appearance as we head into Week 6.

With two of our power five facing off this weekend, there's sure to be another shakeup at the top.

5. Cincinnati Bengals (4-1) >> Last Week: NA

A flip flop in the AFC North, the Bengals take over a spot that was handed to the Ravens just last week. Cincinnati has won two in a row, including an impressive come-from-behind win against the Dolphins in Week 5. Those 24 unanswered fourth-quarter points are a big reason Andy Dalton and the 4-1 Bengals make this list. A win over the Steelers at home this Sunday would only further solidify their standing.

4. New England Patriots (3-2) >> Last Week: NA

It makes sense that the Patriots return to this list after three-week hiatus following back-to-back wins over the Colts and Dolphins. Now back above .500, with a full arsenal of weapons at Tom Brady's disposal, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Pats arrow trending upward in the coming weeks.

3. New Orleans Saints (4-1) >> Last Week: 4

When a QB breaks the all-time NFL passing record on Monday Night Football, you take notice. Drew Brees continues to lead the Saints to wins, and the return of running back Mark Ingram, to the tune of 53 yards and two touchdowns, only makes the Saints that much better. On a bye this week, let's just wait and see what offensive guru and head coach Sean Payton has for us in Week 7.

2. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) >> Last Week: 2

The Chiefs are keeping pace with the Rams, essentially knocking the Jaguars out of the top five with an impressive 30-14 win at Arrowhead on Sunday. And now comes their biggest test of the season, a Sunday nighter against the aforementioned New England Patriots. The winner of that contest could be a new number one come next week.

1. Los Angeles Rams (5-0) >> Last Week: 1

The Rams come off their biggest test of the season with a 33-31 comeback win at Seattle. With another tough road game this weekend in Denver, the Rams will show us exactly what their made of if they can come out of Mile High unscathed. Until they lose, it's hard to knock them off their pedestal.
