ESPN's Adam Schefter reported earlier that Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams would be expected to play in Week 5 against the Detroit Lions --That became a reality moments ago as Adams was officially ruled active.

Adams suffered a minor calf pull at practice during the week, but the expectation was that he would play today.

The matchup will be a tough one for Adams who draws Darius Slay, but he's posted back-to-back eight-catch games against elite competition in each of the last two weeks.

We could see this Lions' secondary pay more attention to Adams with Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison officially ruled out for today. Also, look for Marquez Valdes-Scantling to get increased snaps now with Allison and Cobb out.
