Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals. He had been dealing with hip issues and was unable to log a full week of practice.

The news is somewhat surprising as it looked like Carson was on track to play in Week 4, but it's possible that the career-high 34 touches he saw last week were too much on his body.

Rashaad Penny will step into the starting running back role today for the Seahawks, and it's a fantastic spot for him as the Cardinals have faced the most running back carries (31) and running back touches (37) per game in the NFL the season.
