49ers Reveal End Of Year Team Award Recipients

The San Francisco 49ers are still processing their blowout loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in this year's NFC Championship game. But, that was the franchise's second conference title appearance in the last four years and there's still a lot to celebrate after a 13-win season.

On Tuesday, San Francisco revealed their end of year team award recipients.

49ers insider David Lombardi provides a breakdown of each award, listed below.

Len Eshmont Award (Team MVP): Nick Bosa
Bill Walsh Award (Coaching Staff Vote): Fred Warner
Bobb McKittrick (O-Line Vote): Jake Brendel
Hazeltine Iron Man (Defensive Coaches Vote): Nick Bosa
Thomas Herrion Memorial Award (Rookie Award): Brock Purdy

To no surprise, three-time Pro Bowler Nick Bosa walked away with two of the five honors. This includes the team MVP award (Len Eshmont) and the award handed out by the defensive coaches (Hazeltine Iron Man). Bosa had a ridiculous year, leading the league with 18.5 sacks and notching 48 quarterback hits.

Rookie quarterback Brock Purdy was also the recipient of the rookie award. His dynamic play at the end of the season helped lift the 49ers to this NFC Championship appearance, and all 49ers fans known it would have been a different outcome had he not suffered a brutal injury early in that contest.
