The San Francisco 49ers had to fight tooth and nail to earn an exciting overtime victory against the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 14. Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo led a masterful 75-yard game-winning drive that was eventually capped off by a walk-off touchdown grab by wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

The victory keeps the 49ers in line to grab an NFC Wild Card spot and it also caused their Super Bowl odds to take a massive jump. They entered Sunday with odds set at +4300 and now have odds set at +3400 to take home the Lombardi Trophy, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.

49ers Super Bowl Odds

San Francisco only trails five other NFC teams in the odds and deservedly passed over the Bengals. This is a team that has won four of its last five games and features a rather easy schedule moving forward. Two of the 49ers' final four matchups are against teams with a losing record in 2021.

The resurgence of head coach Kyle Shanahan's offense has been a sight to see over the last month or so. Garoppolo is now averaging an NFL-high 12.6 yard per completion. Meanwhile, tight end George Kittle has posted back-to-back games with at least 150 receicing yards and 1 touchdown.

The 49ers' defense is what really makes them a team to watch out for down the stretch, though. San Francisco ranks eighth in the NFL allowing 325.4 total yards per game and now has 33 sacks on the year (No. 7 in NFL). EDGE rusher Nick Bosa leads the team in that statistical category with 14.0.

San Francisco will look to keep their momentum going when they take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 15 NFL action. The 49ers head into that game as 8.5-point home favorites, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
