The San Francisco 49ers have dealt with as many impactful injuries as anyone this season. Losing multiple quarterbacks, running backs and starters in general on both sides of the ball for an extended time has been the theme of their year. Yet, the team is in first place in the NFC West with a 10-4 record.

Javon Kinlaw Injury Update

As Week 16 approaches, the 49ers are finally getting some good news on the injury front. Former first-round pick Javon Kinlaw is returning from injured reserve after a knee issue landed him there earlier this season.

Kinlaw has been pretty much invisible this season. He has only appeared in three games thus far and record just 2 tackles in that time. This is now the second consecutive season where Kinlaw has been out for most of the year. In only his third campaign, the "injury prone" tag is starting to become a thing.

There's no doubting Kinlaw's talent and potential, but the best ability is availability and he hasn't really given himself the chance to put it all on display.

Hopefully Kinlaw will be able to close out the year strong for the Niners. San Francisco goes up against the Washington Commanders in Week 16, where they are a 7.5-point home favorite, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest NFL odds.
