The New York Giants have said they aren't planning on taking a quarterback with the No. 6 pick in the upcoming 2019 NFL Draft. While many believe that's nothing more than a smoke screen, if they do ultimately pass on drafting Dwayne Haskins, there are plenty of other likely teams in the market for the former Ohio State standout.

Here are three teams that could draft Haskins if the Giants pass on him with the No. 6 overall pick on draft day.

3. Denver Broncos, No. 10

The Denver Broncos traded for a new starting quarterback this offseason when they acquired Joe Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens, but that doesn't make drafting a QB a bad idea for general manager John Elway. Even though Flacco has three years left on his deal, Elway has made one too many mistakes at the quarterback position during his tenure, and Haskins' upside could be too much to pass up.

2. Detroit Lions, No. 8

The Detroit Lions might have their quarterback, Matthew Stafford, in the midst of a 5-year, $135-million contract, but taking a kid from just across Lake Erie at Ohio State seems like it could work. Having Haskins sit behind a Pro Bowl QB like Stafford and learn the ropes could make for a seamless transition sooner rather than later.

1. Washington Redskins, No. 15

Haskins played the final three years of high school football career in Potomac, Maryland, which is located less than 30 miles from the home of the Washington Redskins. While it seems unlikely that Haskins makes it to the No. 15 overall pick, where the Redskins are currently slotted, the last time Washington missed the playoffs in three straight seasons, they traded up for a QB named Robert Griffin III. Don't be surprised if team president Bruce Allen pulls a similar move for his newest QB of the future.
