The Carolina Panthers will enter this upcoming offseason with somewhat of a quarterback dilemma. Cam Newton endured multiple injuries this year and his future with the franchise looks cloudy at best.

Kyle Allen has filled in serviceably at times, but he hasn't done enough to prove he is without a doubt the Panthers' quarterback of the future. While Carolina also drafted Will Grier in the third round of last year's NFL Draft, the Panthers could still be looking for a more stable option going forward.

With that in mind, let's take a look at three quarterbacks the Panthers could draft in 2020.

1. Justin Herbert, Oregon

Behind Joe Burrow, many consider Justin Herbert the second-best quarterback available in the NFL Draft, now that Tua Tagovailoa's health is up in the air. Herbert, who is projected to be drafted somewhere between 8-12 in most mock drafts, falls right in line with where the Panthers' selection will most likely end up. However, depending on how things ultimately shake out, Carolina might have to trade up to get ahead of a team like the Los Angeles Chargers, as they could have their sights set on Herbert. Carolina could provide a solid place for Oregon's signal-caller to start his career, though. He'll walk into a situation with some great skill-position players around him, including Christian McCaffrey and D.J. Moore.

2. Jacob Eason, Washington

If the Panthers miss out on Herbert, or elect to try to improve the defense with their first-round pick, there are a couple of quarterbacks that could be interesting second-round targets. Jacob Eason certainly fits the bill. The former Georgia transfer has put up solid numbers in his first season as the starter with Washington. Eason has 22 touchdowns, eight interceptions and has thrown for 2,922 yards with a 63.8 completion percentage. Eason might be more raw than other quarterbacks in this draft, but his measurables are enticing. He's got a 6-foot-6 inch frame and has a cannon for an arm, a trait he shares with Newton, which could be attractive to the Panthers.

3. Jake Fromm, Georgia

From Eason, we move on to the man who replaced him at Georgia, Jake Fromm. The junior quarterback has experienced a lot of team success in his three years as the starter, making the SEC championship all three seasons and coming one last-second touchdown pass away from winning a national title as a freshman. He might not have the most impressive numbers or eye-popping measurables, but many believe Fromm to be one of the more NFL-ready quarterbacks in the draft. He is a sound decision maker, with 22 touchdowns and five interceptions in 2019, and he could be a solid option in Carolina from day one.
