Just like every other team in the NFL, the Baltimore Ravens come into the 2020 NFL Draft with needs that have to be addressed. Traditionally, a team will take one of two approaches with their first-round pick. They will either take the best player available regardless of position or need, or they will take the best player available that solves a specific or positional need.

With the Ravens in need of positions along the defensive and offensive line plus linebacker and wide receiver, its important that they don't reach with their Round 1 pick. With that in mind, let's take a look at three players the Ravens should avoid with their first-round pick.

1. Neville Gallimore, DT, Oklahoma

While Neville Gallimore has a lot to like about him, taking him at No. 28 would simply be too early. It might be tempting given he might be one of the top interior defensive lineman available when Baltimore is on the clock, but they have other needs that pick would be better suited on than reaching for a defensive tackle at this spot.

2. Jalen Reagor, WR, TCU

Jalen Reagor is a solid wide receiver, but he shares a lot of similarities with a current wide receiver on the roster, Hollywood Brown. An undersized speedster, despite possessing great talents, is not something you want to double up on if you're the Ravens. Opting for someone like Justin Jefferson, Tee Higgins or Denzel Mims, one of which should be available at No. 28, would be a smarter move for Baltimore.

3. Marlon Davidson, EDGE, Auburn

The Ravens have a need at EDGE rusher, especially if they deal Matt Judon. While they could consider Yetur Gross-Matos or A.J. Epenesa, there's a good chance both of those guys are off the board by No. 28. If thats the case, Marlon Davidson could be considered the next-best EDGE rusher available, but taking him at No. 28 would be a big time reach. Projected to go in the second round by most, Davidson put up strong numbers at Auburn in 2019, with 6.5 sacks and 11.5 tackles for loss. However, Baltimore would be wise to spend this pick else where and target someone like EDGE rushers Terrell Lewis or Julian Okwara with their Round 2 selection.
