The next couple of weeks will be a massacre in the NFL, with roster cuts coming from everywhere. One of the most recent big names to be cut was Carlos Dunlap by the Seattle Seahawks. This comes after the Seahawks traded for Dunlap midseason, and his impact helped Seattle improve on defense.

The Seahawks have to be active in free agency to have any hope of repairing their relationship with Russell Wilson, With that in mind, these are three cheap free agents they can target with their new freed-up cap space.

1. Romeo Okwara, DE

After a successful season with the Detroit Lions, Romeo Okwara's value may have risen out of Seattle's budget. However, there is no doubt that he possesses the pass-rushing skills that the Seattle defense is missing. Okwara is coming off the best season of his five-year career, totaling 10 sacks, 18 quarterback hits and 11 tackles for a loss.

2. Jadeveon Clowney, EDGE

Jadeveon Clowney was solid with Seattle, even though his sack total was not there. However, Clowney failed to sign a multi-year contract, then he struggled with the Tennessee Titans this past season. While Clowney will likely take another short-term deal, his asking price has now come down, and returning to Seattle may be in the best interest of everyone.

3. Takkarist McKinley, EDGE

Takkarist McKinley had a disappointing 2020, to put it lightly. After getting released from the Atlanta Falcons, he failed a number of physicals for multiple teams. This limited him to just four games, generating just one sack. However, we have seen the potential the former first-round pick has. McKinley generated 16.5 sacks across is first 45 games, and getting on a solid defense could help him flourish.
