The Cincinnati Bengals will look to earn their third consecutive victory when they host the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13 NFL action. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bengals slated as 3-point favorites in a game that features some of the biggest names in fantasy football.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 13 AFC clash.
Justin Herbert Fantasy
Start Justin Herbert, QB, Los Angeles Chargers: Fantasy managers may see that the Bengals are allowing the seventh-fewest fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks and shy away from starting Justin Herbert. However, that should not be the case. Herbert has been a flat-out stud all year, ranking as the No. 3 QB in fantasy scoring. The Chargers love to lean on their air raid offense and have posted the third-highest passing play percentage in the NFL (65.0%). It's clear that Herbert is going to have an opportunity to ball out and has tossed for over 300 yards in each of his last two games. Simply put, he's an every-week starter.
Ja'Marr Chase Fantasy
Start Ja'Marr Chase, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: The hype surrounding rookie wideout Ja'Marr Chase has soured a little bit over the last month or so. Chase has failed to surpass 50 receiving yards in each of his last four games after doing so in each of his first seven contests. That doesn't mean he should be benched, though. The former LSU standout still leads Cincinnati in targets (82), receptions (50), receiving yards (906) and receiving touchdowns (8). His connection with quarterback Joe Burrow is evident and should be back on display Sunday. Slide Chase right into a starting WR slot.
Mike Williams Fantasy
Sit Mike Williams, WR, Los Angeles Chargers: Wide receiver Mike Williams' blazing hot start to the season has not carried over into the second half of the season so far. The fifth-year pro has reached the end zone just once since Week 5 and has topped 40 receiving yards twice during that span. Williams ranks as the No. 46 WR in PPR fantasy scoring over the last seven weeks and draws a tough matchup in Week 13. The Bengals are giving up the 13th-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs, which includes just 7 receiving touchdowns (T-No. 3 in NFL). Williams is simply a borderline FLEX option.
Tyler Boyd Fantasy
Sit Tyler Boyd, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: Wide receiver Tyler Boyd remains the odd man out on a Cincinnati offense filled with talented playmakers. He has scored just 2 touchdowns this season and is averaging a career-low 10.2 yards per reception on the year. In fact, Boyd has topped 50 receiving yards in only 3 of his 11 games played. This doesn't look to be the matchup that leads to an explosive game, either. The Chargers have posted the 11th-best pass defense DVOA rating in the NFL and are giving up the second-fewest PPR fantasy points to opposing WRs. Boyd is merely a depth WR to keep stashed on the bench for now.
