The Pittsburgh Steelers look to jump ahead in the AFC North standings when they travel to take on the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 12. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Bengals slated as 4.5-point home favorites in a game filled with playmakers on both sides of the football.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 12 showdown.
Diontae Johnson Fantasy
Start Diontae Johnson, WR, Pittsburgh Steelers: Diontae Johnson has been on a tear since Week 6, seeing 13 targets in four of the five games he's played and a WR17 ranking in that span. On the other side of the ball is a struggling Bengals defense, which has surrendered at least 350 passing yards in three of their past four. Johnson is the clear No. 1 option in the passing attack and the Steelers will be able to take advantage of that in Week 12.
Joe Burrow Fantasy
Start Joe Burrow, QB, Cincinnati Bengals: The Steelers are also a team that struggles mightily in the secondary, as evidenced by their No. 26 ranking in Football Outsiders' pass-defense DVOA metric. The Steelers have been torched for 400 or more passing yards in two of the past three weeks and Joe Burrow has every opportunity to continue that trend. The Bengals relied heavily on Joe Mixon (30 rushing attempts) last week, but Pittsburgh's secondary is too enticing of a matchup to not go after. Burrow even threw 3 TDs in their previous meeting this year.
Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST Fantasy
Sit Pittsburgh Steelers D/ST: The Steelers D/ST unit ranks 19th in fantasy this year and will have issues against a Bengals offense that ranks top-10 in points scored. It's hard to sit any of Pittsburgh's main playmakers this week: Johnson, Najee Harris and Chase Claypool have all produced, so we'll target the defensive unit as a sit this week. Cincinnati has also only coughed up 14 turnovers this week. That mark ranks middle of the pack and isn't necessarily a cause for concern against this Steelers defense, which forced just 9 turnovers all year.
Tyler Boyd Fantasy
Sit Tyler Boyd, WR, Cincinnati Bengals: After 10 games, the Bengals wide receiver depth chart has taken on a clear pecking order. Ja'Marr Chase is the clear No. 1 option, and Tee Higgins presents a strong No. 2. That leaves Tyler Boyd as the third fiddle, evidenced by his 6.3 targets per game. Chase and Higgins outpace Boyd when it comes to the target share, both seeing closer to 8 targets per game, and Boyd has only seen double-digit targets once this year. Pittsburgh's defense struggles against the pass, but if we had to pick one WR to sit, it's Boyd.
