The Tampa Bay Buccaneers look to topple the surging Indianapolis Colts in a Week 12 matchup in Indianapolis. FanDuel Sportsbook has the Buccaneers slated as slim 3-point road favorites in a game filled with fantasy implications.
If you need some help with your fantasy lineups, here's some start 'em, sit 'em advice for this Week 12 showdown.
Rob Gronkowski Fantasy
Start Rob Gronkowski, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Rob Gronkowski ranks as TE21 in PPR leagues despite playing in just four full games. When Gronkowski is healthy enough to suit up in 2021, fantasy managers must start him. The veteran tight end played in Week 11 after a lengthy absence dating back to Week 3 (save his 6 snaps played in Week 8), and turned 8 targets into 6 receptions and 71 receiving yards. Gronk averages 6 targets, nearly 5 receptions and nearly 1 TD in full games this season and will be featured again against a Colts defense that allows the sixth-most PPR points to opposing TEs.
Michael Pittman Jr. Fantasy
Start Michael Pittman Jr, WR, Indianapolis Colts: If there's ever a matchup that will force the Colts to get away from their usual Jonathan Taylor-led approach, this might be it. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are one of the toughest run defenses in the NFL (No. 7 in Football Outsiders' run defense DVOA metric) and their explosive offense could force the Colts to go pass-heavy to try to keep up. Michael Pittman has been the clear focal point of the Colts' passing attack this year (23.5% target share, while nobody else on the team is above 15.4%), so this matchup should give him enough volume to thrive.
Leonard Fournette Fantasy
Sit Leonard Fournette, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Indianapolis' front seven has proven their ability to limit talented running backs and gives up the least PPR fantasy points to opposing RBs this season. That's included limiting Michael Carter to 49 yards and 0 TDs, and preventing Derrick Henry from finding the end zone on 28 rushing attempts. Indianapolis ranks second in Football Outsiders' rush-defense DVOA metric. Leonard Fournette operates as RB12 in PPR formats this season, but he's about to face his toughest test of the year in Week 12, so don't expect Fournette to easily eclipse RB1 totals.
T.Y. Hilton Fantasy
Sit T.Y. Hilton, WR, Indianapolis Colts: The positives that apply for Michael Pittman don't really extend to T.Y. Hilton. He's questionable with a toe injury, adding to the long list of ailments we've seen him struggle with. He's played only four games this season, averaging only 4.0 targets per game while not seeing more than 5 in any contest. He's only topped even 5.0 PPR fantasy points once, and there's not much room for optimism here.
