Currently heavy underdogs to win the NBA Finals amid a 3-1 series deficit, the Golden State Warriors have found themselves in a dilemma most NBA fans beyond Canada likely would have never imagined just four games ago.

However, there's at least one thing moving in the Warriors' favor heading into a potential elimination Game 5 this Monday night: the spread.

After the Toronto Raptors held Golden State to a 2019 NBA Playoffs team-low 92 points in a 13-point Game 4 loss Friday night, the Warriors opened as 3.5-point road underdogs ahead of Monday's Game 5, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. But the spread has since dropped by more than a full point.

Following optimistic reports of Kevin Durant's injury status and buzz surrounding a potential return in Game 5 broke Sunday afternoon, the latest spread has fallen to just a 2-point Raptors' advantage.

While one would likely imagine one of the best players in the league would have have to be worth more than 1.5 points to his team, even on the road, Durant's status for Game 5 is still far from certain.

Yet, some bettors clearly haven't waited for more confirmation on this issue before pulling the trigger on spread bets for Monday's Game 5, hence the line movement in Golden State's favor.
