Baseball players are a superstitious lot. Everyone has their own bat, but it's not unheard of to swap with a teammate to try and snap out of a slump or channel some of their hot streak.

The Toronto Blue Jays' Vlad Guerrero Jr. took this to the next level on Wednesday.

In the top of the fourth inning, Guerrero stole his opponent's twig for an at-bat — cameras clearly caught that he was using Marcell Ozuna's bat.

Guerrero had opened the game by grounding out in the top of the first inning, but it's not like he was on a cold streak when he switched bats. Just one game before this one he had a 3-hit performance, including a home run.

Of course, maybe he was just trying to channel some of the heat from Ozuna — who had also gone yard on Tuesday and started Wednesday's game with a single.

That did not work out as intended. Guerrero ended up flying out, and apparently removed all magic from the bat in the process. Ozuna was also hitless for the rest of the game.

Blue Jays fans will be hoping that Guerrero goes back to whatever bat he was using on Tuesday, and Braves fans are surely hoping nobody takes the magic out of Ozuna's bat again.
