VIDEO: Top Orioles Prospect Goes Off for 3-Homer Day
By Larry Rupp

The Baltimore Orioles are in the midst of a substantial rebuild and will be counting on their farm system to produce some talent over the next few years. One name to keep an eye on is Hudson Haskin after the 23-year-old erupted for three home runs on Sunday for the Double-A Bowie Baysox.

Maybe not, but No. 16 #Orioles prospect Hudson Haskin still racked up the first three-homer game of the Minor League season for the @BowieBaysox: https://t.co/SuvKbdCdCX pic.twitter.com/u0ePyEqBkA
Orioles News
Haskin launched a drive to straightaway center field in the fourth inning before smacking a pair of opposite field shots later in the game. His raw power was definitely on display as the Baysox crushed the Richmond Flying Squirrels by a score of 11-6 in their first win of the 2022 minor league season.
It's worth noting the 2020 second-round pick had never played past the Single-A level prior to joining Bowie this season. In fact, Haskin only hit 5 home runs across 363 plate appearance in 2021. He ended the year with a solid slash line of .276/.381/.406 to go along with 59 runs scored and 42 RBI.
It'll be a while before Orioles fans are seeing the team's No. 16 prospect taking on the best of the best in the major leagues. It's possible that sustained success at Double-A this season fast tracks him to Triple-A by the end of the year, though. That has to be exciting for a fan base in need of positive news.
Baltimore will look to stay competitive in an AL East division stacked with gifted rosters. For now, the Orioles remain long shots to win the World Series at +50000, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
