VIDEO: Star Defender Spotted With Falcons Players Ahead of Free Agency

It's clear the Atlanta Falcons have a solid foundation to build off of after seven-win season in 2022. Now the team heads into the offseason flush with cap space, making them a serious threat to pull off some big moves this spring.

In fact, one star and soon-to-be free agent was spotted dining with key Falcons players recently.

In an Instagram video posted by NFL agent David Mulgheta, Cincinnati Bengals safety Jessie Bates is seen hanging out with Kyle Pitts, A.J. Terrell and Casey Heyward. Given Bates' unresolved contract situation with the Bengals and Atlanta's cap situation, the clip generated some buzz ahead of free agency.

Now, this video could be nothing. Players hang out with each other all the time. Mulgheta also represents all three members of the Falcons seen with Bates, so it's not just a coincidence.

Still, the timing of this get-together has fans wondering if something may be brewing. Bates and Cincinnati have been unable to agree on a contract extension, setting the talented safety up to test the open market this year.

Atlanta is an obvious landing spot for the fifth-year pro, both considering the team's needs in the secondary and the huge amount of cash it has to spend. A lucrative offer from the Falcons could be just what Bates needs to walk away from a contender in Cincy.
