After a few weeks of growing anticipation, the NFL officially released the 2022 schedule for all 32 teams on Thursday night. Leaks flew around the league in the days leading up to the official announcement, but those rumors always have to be taken with a sliver of doubt.

The Seattle Seahawks played off that dynamic this week, pulling a funny prank on some key players earlier in the week. Check out the full video below.

2022 Seahawks Schedule

Seattle circulated a fake "official schedule" to the locker room on Tuesday, outlying a brutal 2022 slate. This included playing on both Christmas and Thanksgiving, no bye week after their trip to Germany, and a more agonizing than usual travel schedule for the team from up north.

Tight end Will Dissly and several coaches were the major players in this prank. Just take a look at some of the reactions from some players such as Drew Lock, Geno Smith, DeeJay Dallas and others.

Quandre Diggs' reaction is the most entertaining of the bunch as he discusses not "being able to get away from Detroit on Thanksgiving," after playing for the franchise for five years.

The icing on the cake for this prank is a fake call from "Jim Dakota" (played by Steve Lund with Seahawks Ticketing) and the league office. Head coach Pete Carroll storms in at the end, nearly throwing a fit about the schedule before revealing to a group of players it's just a prank.

Some notes on the official schedule, to ease the minds of fans. Seattle will have a bye week after playing the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Germany. The team is playing on Christmas Eve against the Kansas City Chiefs, but not on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day.
