VIDEO: Remembering Brett Keisel's Epic Pick-Six Against the Buccaneers
It is the dream of all linemen for something to happen that results in them somehow scoring a touchdown. That's why a "big man touchdown" is so enjoyable to watch. Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Brett Keisel scored an epic touchdown when he intercepted a pass against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Keisel is probably known most for the huge beard he sported for awhile, but there was an outstanding player underneath the facial hair. On this play, it was mostly a situation of being in the right place at the right time.
A late screen pass caused the wide receiver to anticipate the hit that was coming. This led to a dropped pass, which landed in the big mitts of Keisel. The big man had a long way to go, taking the ball 79 yards to the house. He knew he wasn't going to outrun the Bucs on his own, so he waited for his blocks to set up and maneuvered it beautifully to the end zone for the score.
This play marked Keisel's only touchdown in his 12-year career, but he did intercept one other pass in his final NFL season.
