VIDEO: Raiders Rookie Looking Great in Offseason Workout With Derek Carr
By Tristan Jung

It's been harder than usual for NFL teams to get in solid offseason workouts this year, but the truly dedicated players are making it work. For the Las Vegas Raiders, that includes quarterback Derek Carr and one of his newest pass-catchers.
Rookie Bryan Edwards was catching passes from Carr, and he looked good doing it. Edwards made some impressive catches and ran stellar routes in a video posted on July 9.

Edwards is a wide receiver who was taken in the third round of the NFL Draft out of South Carolina. During his college career, Edwards set the all-time records at South Carolina in receptions and yards. He also caught a pass in a school-record 48 consecutive games.
The Raiders, now officially moved to Las Vegas from Oakland, specifically targeted wide receivers in their first draft in their new locale. While their selection of Henry Ruggs III with the No. 12 overall pick out of Alabama was the headline pick, Edwards and pass-catching running back Lynn Bowden should also prove to be important pieces for the Raiders' offense.

The Raiders also elected to keep Derek Carr over the offseason despite some speculation to the contrary. Carr had one of his most efficient seasons ever last year, but his team went just 7-9 overall. With some exciting young weapons at his disposal, this could be a big year for Carr and the Raiders offense.
