There may not be a starting quarterback in the NFL with more to prove in Week 1 than Pittsburgh's Mitch Trubisky. He has rookie Kenny Pickett waiting in the wings to take over any time, but doesn't seem bothered in his first tunnel entrance. The Steelers' QB was all business on Sunday morning.

Trubisky entered Paycor Stadium in a clean suit and with a confident look on his face. The level of swagger he is carrying himself with has to excite Steelers fans heading into a divisional matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Beginning the season with a victory would gain Trubisky a ton of favor.

The chances of Pittsburgh emerging victorious in Week 1 may not be as low as people think, either. Before sweeping the season series in 2021, the Bengals had lost 11 of their last 12 games against the Steelers. Cincinnati is also an opponent Trubisky owns a 1-0 record against in his five-year career.

The 28-year-old earned the starting gig after completing 24 of his 34 pass attempts for 283 yards and 2 touchdowns during the preseason. Meanwhile, Pickett will serve as the active backup after jumping over veteran Mason Rudolph on the depth chart. Trubisky has little room for error here.

Pittsburgh enters Sunday as a 7.5-point road underdog against Cincinnati with odds set at +265 on the moneyline, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds. Odds are set at -110 for Trubisky to throw for more than 226.5 yards and set at +150 for him to rack up over 1.5 passing touchdowns.
