Chicago Cubs outfielder Joc Pederson seems to be having a lot more fun this year. All of his numbers are up from a disappointing 2020 campaign where he slashed just .190/.285/.397 with 6 home runs and 16 RBI. In 43 games this season, Pederson's slashing .237/.316/.401 with 7 home runs and 21 RBI.
Pederson went 1-for-4 in yesterday's loss to the San Francisco Giants, but added a two-run big fly. He continued to have fun even after grounding out to Giants shortstop Brandon Crawford. Check out the video below.

Perhaps this is a bit of his former rivalry with the Giants showing up. Of course, Pederson spent the first seven years of his MLB career with the Los Angeles Dodgers and we all know how much the Dodgers and Giants dislike each other.
It's all fun and games here as Pederson does his best little kid impression after the ground out, playfully sticking out his tongue at Crawford.
The evidence is clear, however. Pederson's clearly happy with his new situation in Chicago. The Cubbies sit in first place in the NL Central with a 32-25 overall record. Chicago also owns +2200 odds to win the National League, according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook.
