For the past decade, the Chicago Cubs have lived on the mountaintop for the city's baseball teams. Now, the spot belongs to the Chicago White Sox.

The White Sox finished up a convincing three-game sweep at Wrigley Field this weekend while moving up to a 10.5-game lead in the AL Central standings.

One of the best storylines from the weekend came with Eloy Jimenez' bat. After missing nearly four months of the season with a torn pectoral tendon, the young slugger returned in late July. On Sunday night, he announced his return in emphatic fashion.

Jimenez went 3-for-4 with two home runs and 5 RBIs in Sunday night's 9-3 trouncing of the Cubs. After the game, the 24-year-old DH/LF shared a special message to his mom on the Sunday Night Baseball national broadcast.

It was quite simple, but Jimenez just wanted to say "Hi Mom," following his monster game at the dish. Pretty heartwarming moment for all of the sentimental folks out there.

The White Sox remain in control of the AL Central and eye a deep run in October. With a 10.5 game lead, the White Sox now own the third-best odds (+600) to take home the 2021 World Series title, according to the latest MLB odds on FanDuel Sportsbook. Jimenez will surely be at the center of Chicago's offense down the stretch.
