Twins Get Great News on Latest Joe Ryan Injury Update

Minnesota Twins right-handed starter Joe Ryan has remained sidelined since May 25 due to an unfortunate bout with COVID-19. He's been making progress over the last week as he's dealt with his rehab assignment, leading to some good news for the Minnesota faithful.

The Twins revealed on Monday night that Ryan is back and will make his return start against the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday.

Ryan was one of the Twins' best starters before he was sidelined and the hope is that he can pick up from where he left off. His five wins in eight starts are still the most on the team, while his 2.28 ERA and 0.992 WHIP highlight just how in control the 26-year-old has been.

The San Francisco, CA native has only faced the Mariners once in his career, giving up two runs on as many hits and a walk over four innings pitched back on Opening Day 2022. He's gone 5-1 in seven starts since then, leaving time to tell if he can have a more memorable performance against Seattle on Tuesday.
