Conference play is the theme of Week 7 of the 2022 NCAA college football season. The slate of rivalry games includes action from the AAC, highlighted by a game between the Tulane Green Wave and South Florida Bulls.

The two rivals have been heading in different directions this season. Tulane is an impressive 5-1 thus far, whereas South Florida is 1-5 and has now last four straight matchups. Only time will tell which AAC rival will walk out of Raymond James Stadium with the victory.

Tulane vs South Florida Odds

According to FanDuel Sportsbook's college football odds, Tulane is a clear -480 favorite on the moneyline (11.5-point spread) in a game with a 54.5-point over/under.

What should college football fans expect in this matchup, and where can bettors find value?

Tulane vs South Florida Prediction and Best Bet

As far as recent history goes, Tulane has a great shot at extending its impressive run. While these two AAC schools have only met three times over the years, the Green Wave have won the last two meetings by a combined score of 86-29.

Having said that, Tulane's offense hasn't been as strong as it was when the season first began. It's only averaging 23 points per game, but that could all change against a South Florida defense that has given up 31-plus points in three of its last four games.

The Green Wave's defense is also a top-12 unit in the nation and should feast against the Bulls' inconsistent offense. South Florida QB Gerry Bohanon also has six interceptions on the season, which bodes well for Tulane after recording two picks in its last outing.

I fully expect Tulane to win, as well as for the Green Wave to cover the 11.5-point spread after their recent success against the Bulls. With the average total in the all-time Tulane-South Florida series being 59 points, I'm also comfortable with take over 54.5 points her.
