Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence is the crown jewel of the 2021 NFL Draft, and the Jacksonville Jaguars are in position to make him the No. 1 overall pick come April.

Before the draft, though, Lawrence announced that he would need to undergo surgery on his non-throwing shoulder to fix labrum damage.

The soon-to-be top pick recently gave a positive update on his recovery.

Trevor Lawrence Injury News

Lawrence told ESPN that he's "doing great" and actually feels "way better" than he thought he would at this point. Obviously, surgery on a top prospect is always a cause for concern, but it sounds as though Lawrence will have no complications and can return to football activities this summer.

He had another terrific year at Clemson in 2020, throwing for 24 TDs and 3,153 yards as a junior. Lawrence finished his college career with 90 TDs and 10,098 passing yards for the Tigers, helping his case as the clear-cut best prospect in the 2021 NFL Draft class.

With a new head coach in Urban Meyer, the Jaguars are set to kick off a new era with Lawrence as their franchise QB.
