The fantasy football playoffs are here. Even if you're the No. 1 seed, it's rarely as simple as just starting the guys who brought you here. And managers without an elite tight end might need to hit the waiver wire and play the matchups this weekend.
Fantasy Football Playoffs Advice
Here are the top-three streaming tight ends, rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! fantasy leagues, to target in Week 16.
Streaming TEs Week 16
1. Evan Engram, New York Giants (31% Rostered)
It has been an up-and-down year for Evan Engram, but the Giants' tight end couldn't have asked for a better matchup in Week 16. Philadelphia has been getting torched by pass-catching TEs all season long and is allowing the most PPR fantasy points to the position. The Eagles have also given up 11 receiving touchdowns to opposing TEs, which is the second-highest mark in the NFL. Keep in mind that Engram is averaging 5.0 targets per game over the last five weeks and has become a go-to option for quarterback Mike Glennon.
2. Cole Kmet, Chicago Bears (25% Rostered)
Tight end Cole Kmet put together one of his best fantasy performances of the season in Week 15, hauling in 6 of his 9 targets for 71 yards. He has a great shot to keep his success going against a Seahawks' defense that has posted the fourth-worst pass defense DVOA rating in the NFL. Overall, Seattle is allowing the fifth-most PPR fantasy points to opposing TEs. Quarterback Justin Fields will not be afraid to throw the ball against this weak secondary and that bodes well for Kmet in fantasy football. The former Notre Dame standout is worth a start in Week 16.
3. C.J. Uzomah, Cincinnati Bengals (16% Rostered)
Fantasy managers looking for a high-upside pick should look to stream Cincinnati Bengals' tight end C.J. Uzomah on Sunday. The NFL veteran is set to face the Ravens for the second time this season after he picked them apart back in Week 7 to the tune of 91 yards and 2 touchdowns (3 receptions). Head coach Zac Taylor should focus on an offensive scheme that takes advantage of the fact Baltimore is allowing 264.9 passing yards per game (No. 31 in NFL). Uzomah has sneaky TE1 upside given he is able to replicate his dominance on Sunday.
